November Goals

Happy November everyone! Where has this year disappeared to? I've decided to try and write a 'goals' post at the start of each month to keep me on track with not only my blog, but my day-to-day life. I had the idea after reading Jodie Melissa's post about her own November goals.

My October was a little bit all over the place. I started the month with an amazing trip to Iceland with three of my close friends from high school, but I ended the month having to take quite a lot of time of work due to illness. I'm starting to feel more like myself again, slowly but surely and a few of my goals will aim to ensure that the only way is up!

November goals...

1) Be more regular with my posts. I'm setting myself the challenge of two posts a week for the entirety of November. Now I know this doesn't seem like a lot, but for me, it will be! I'm a little bit all over the place as I usually work around 37-45 hours a week and then also volunteer at 'Rape Crisis' at least once a week. Factor in seeing friends and sleeping/eating/playing with kittens, that doesn't end up leaving an awful lot of time for blog posts, but I'm determined to organise myself and spend more time working on my blog.

2) Get to the gym more regularly. Again, this post relates to me not doing something enough (me? lazy? guilty as charged!). This time last year I was a fitness junkie, going to the gym 3/4 times a week and doing yoga galore at home. I just seem to have let life get in the way a bit and stopped making the time to exercise, which isn't great as I really thrive and feel much happier, both physically and mentally, when I'm exercising regularly. I kick started this goal tonight and went to a kettlebell class after work, so I'm feeling pretty content with myself this evening.

3) Taking the time for self-care. I've been trying to take care of myself in little ways recently and I want to try and keep this up. Whether that be forcing myself to go for a run when I'm feeling pent up or having a bath and face mask in an evening. I'm starting to learn how important it is to take that time to be mindful and consider all the positives in your life and that doing things that are important for your happiness aren't always selfish.

4) Try and save some money. With my recent trip away and then the time off work that I've had I'm not in the best place financially at the moment. I'm terrible for seeing something all over youtube/bloglovin' and NEEDING it. This month I need to restrain myself...but it's all good, Christmas is just around the corner ;)

Do you have any November goals?
